Hello from Rabbi Weinberg in Israel
Written by Ronny Drapkin
I asked him about the mood of the people given the ongoing war in Northern Israel and Lebanon. He is saddened by the devastation in Northern Israel. From his account, the general mood is good but people fear that the current diplomatic maneuvers will ultimately result in the status quo and that Hezbollah will remain armed and dangerous. As such, he suspects that support for Prime Minister Olmert is waning. Let us all pray for peace and security in Israel and for all its citizens.

I received a wonderful call from Rabbi Weinberg this morning after shacharit services. As many of you know, Rabbi Weinberg is visiting family and friends in Israel. He reports that he is doing well and is enjoying his visit. He sends his best regards to our kehillah and looks forward to seeing us all again upon his return.
