Dear Chevre,

It is with profound sadness that I share the news that Rabbi Weinberg's brother, Hans Weinberg of Hempstead NY, passed away this morning. Our heartfelt condolences and sympathies go out to the Rabbi and his entire family. The funeral will be held in New York tomorrow morning.

The Rabbi and Susan will return to Newton on Friday. He will sit shiva at his residence in Newton Center (146 Eastbourne Road) starting motzei shabbat on Saturday evening until the conclusion of shacharit on Wednesday morning.

The shiva minyanim will be as follows at his home:

  1. Sunday shacharit, 8 AM; mincha 4:25 PM
  2. Monday shacharit, 6:30 AM; mincha 4:25 PM
  3. Tuesday shacharit, 6:40 AM, mincha 4:25 PM
  4. Wednesday shacharit, 6:40 AM

We will also help coordinate meal preparations for the Weinbergs. Please contact Beth Drapkin () if you would like to participate in this community outreach effort.

May the Rabbi and his entire family be comforted among all those who mourn for Zion and Yerushalayim.

-Ronny
